  • Becoming a Better Audiologist

For the past couple of years, I have been working as an audiologist.  I love the fact that I can help others to hear better, and I can tell that my patients appreciate what I do.  There is just something wonderful about being able to help others and I get paid to do that every day - I don’t know if there was ever a better job suited for me.

But with my recent business success, there has been one failure.  I had one patient, Rose, who I was unable to help and I had to send her to another audiologist.  Though I was smart enough to know that I didn’t know the answer, it really bothered me that I didn’t know the answer, and for me, that was a sign that I needed to further my education.

I was able to enroll in a Doctor of Audiology Online course and I have set my mind up to make sure that I won’t be in that same situation again.  I know that what I do isn’t life threatening, but I like to know that I can be in a position to help everyone that walk into my office, and when I can’t, it really bothers me.

So, this online course should be a good thing for me.  Besides, I have heard really good things about the school I am in – it is one of the best Health Management Schools in the world, so I should be in good hands.
